First Bus (Cumbernauld & Victorica Road), Glasgow

Our final project for First Bus saw ESH, design, supply and install a frost protection trace heating system to two identical sets of external pipework over two sites. In total over 250 metres of type VC constant wattage heating cable was installed.

Provided frost protection to a run of external pipework similar to the other First Bus projects. The system was designed, supplied and installed use type VC constant wattage cable.

First Bus, Dalkeith

New Strood Academy, Kent


For this large project within the new multi-million pound academy in Kent, ESH supplied and installed over 1500 metres of self regulating trace heating tape. The project scope was to:

  • To provide frost protection to the CHW & LTHW pipework external on the roof.
  • Maintain 55°C on the DHWS internal pipework. 

Whitton Health Centre, Twickenham

Type FBT self regulating heating tape was supplied and installed to perform the duty of frost protecting the external water service pipework.

Caterpillar Re-manufacturing Services, Shrewsbury

Here at the European Remanufacturing Centre of the Caterpillar remanufacturing Services Division, ESH supplied and installed a frost protection trace heating system to a section of 150mm metal pipework within the cooling tower area.

Bovril Unilever, Burton Upon Trent



For this tasty project, ESH were contracted to design, supply and install a frost protection trace heating system to pipework within the kitchen areas and tower. In total just under 1km of type FBT self regulating heating cable was installed throughout this project.



Abraham Darby Sports and Learning Community, Telford



For this local school project, ESH were contracted to design, supply and install a frost protection trace heating system for the heating pipework. The steel pipework was situated in three areas - primary school roof, academy roof and leisure centre roof.
