Lister Hospital - Stevenage
ESH were contracted to design and supply materials and labour to install multiple ramp trace heating systems, utilising self regulating heating tape to prevent snow settlement and ice formation on the hospitals multi storey car park.
To achieve this a loading of 180 watts per m² was required, by using heating tape rated at 30 w/m set to 150-200mm spacing, this gave us an installed length of 6m of heating tape per m² of ramp floor area.

- TEA pipework - Required to maintain a temperature of +40°C, 95m of type SCB constant wattage tape installed
- Caustic soda pipework - 155m of type SCB constant wattage heating tape was required in order to maintain the required temperature of +30°C
- Reactor pipework - This pipework needed to maintain a temperature of +70°C and required 55m of type SCB tape to achieve this
